AARE (Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate) - The professional designation awarded by the Auction Marketing Institute to qualified real estate auctioneers who meet the educational and experiential requirements of the Institute and who adhere to a strict code of ethics and standards of practice.
CAI (Certified Auctioneers Institute) - The professional designation awarded to practicing auctioneers who meet the experiential, educational and ethical standards set by the Auction Marketing Institute, Inc.
CID (Commercial & Investment Division) - a subdivision of commercial specialists within the REALTOR® Association.
CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) - CCIM is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. The designation is awarded by CCIM Institute. A CCIM is a resource to the commercial real estate owner, investor, and user, and is among a corps of over 9,500 professionals around the globe who hold the CCIM designation. Of the more than 150,000 commercial real estate professionals in the United States, only an estimated 6 percent hold the CCIM designation.
GNAR (Greater Nashville Association of REALTORS®) - GNAR presently has well over 4,000 members making it the largest trade association in the Greater Nashville area. The Association as you know it today, dates back prior to 1891 as the Nashville Real Estate Exchange.
NAA (National Auctioneers Association) - An association of individual auctioneers united to promote the mutual interests of its members; formulate and maintain ethical standards for the auction profession; promote the enactment of just and reasonable laws, ordinances and regulations affecting auction selling; make the public more aware of the advantages of auction selling; and generally improve the business conditions affecting the auction profession.
NAR (National Association of Realtors) - North America's largest trade association representing over 1.2 million members (as reported November 2008), includes residential and commercial real estate brokers, real estate salespeople, immovable property managers, appraisers, counselors, and others engaged in all aspects of the real estate (immovable property) industry, where a state license to practice is required. Members belong to one or more of some 1,600 local Realtor boards or associations. Members are known as Realtors.
NREAC (National Real Estate Auction Committee) - A national committee developed by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS in April, 1990 to provide education to members concerning real estate auctions, identify issues and monitor, review and analyze trends affecting the real estate auction industry. It also is charged with formulating policies for consideration by other policy-making NAR Committees, its Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
TAA (Tennessee Auctioneer Association) - a statewide organization that promotes high professional standards and encourages members to practice the highest principles of integrity in their auctioneering profession. Members agree to work uniformly to remain competitive in the auctioneering profession.
